Electrical Installer Course | Provisions
In accordance with the provisions of Royal Decree 842/2002, of August 2, which approves the Low Voltage Electrotechnical Regulations and its Complementary Technical Instruction ITC-BT-03, low-voltage electrical installations must be carried out, maintained, or repaired by low-voltage installers, who must perform their activities within an authorized low-voltage installation company.
The current Low Voltage Electrotechnical Regulations classify low-voltage installers into two categories in ITC-BT-03:
- Basic, with responsibilities limited to those indicated in section 3.1 of the aforementioned ITC.
- Specialist, which extends its scope of responsibilities to the entire Regulation.

TRAINING MODULES
- MF2340_2: Maintenance of low-voltage electrical distribution networks and outdoor lighting installations (180 hours)
- MF2341_2: Low-voltage electrical installations in buildings intended for housing, public use, industries, or special-purpose premises (180 hours)
- MF2342_2: Assembly of low-voltage electrical installations for swimming pools, operating rooms, agricultural use, electric vehicle charging, or other special purposes (150 hours)
- MF2343_2: Configuration of automated installations in homes, commercial premises, and small industries (150 hours)
- MF2344_2: Indoor lighting fixtures, radiant devices, and equipment dedicated to improving the quality and energy efficiency of low-voltage electrical installations (120 hours)
- MF2345_2: Assembly and maintenance of electrical machines and other devices intended for powering low-voltage receiving installations (120 hours)

The professional activity is carried out in production departments dedicated to low-voltage electrical installations, within public or private companies, regardless of their legal structure or size. Work can be performed independently or as an employee, under hierarchical supervision when applicable. In some cases, the professional may be responsible for managing personnel, either seasonally or permanently. The activities within this professional scope are regulated by the competent authorities.
During professional practice, the principles of universal accessibility and universal design (design for all people) are applied in accordance with the applicable regulations.
